Wilde wrote a total of nine plays, but is best-known for four comedies—Lady Windermere’s Fan, A Woman of No Importance, An Ideal Husband, The Importance of Being Earnest—and the tragedy Salomé. About the Author

Oscar Wilde was born on 16 October, 1854 in Dublin, Ireland. As he came to be known for his sharp wit and pithy aphorisms, he also got a reputation for his flamboyant style and manners, something he explored in his writing through the character of the eponymous dandy in The Picture of Dorian Gray (1891), his first and only novel. Wilde wrote his greatest plays over the next few years, sharp and satirical comedies of manners such as A Woman of No Importance (1893) and his most well-known, The Importance of Being Earnest (1895). He died of meningitis in 1900, at the age of forty-six.      The Importance of Being Earnest and Other Plays by Oscar, Wilde-Buy Online The Importance of Being Earnest and Other Plays Latest edition (25 October 2016) Book at Best Price in India:Madrasshoppe.com
